Williams Lake

The city is the commercial heart of Cariboo Country with an area population of 36,000 offering a relaxed, rural lifestyle, four full seasons, gentle population growth and a stable economy. The famous Williams Lake Stampede attracts more than 13,000 spectators. Bird watchers visit the Scout Island Nature Centre on the west end of Williams Lake. The Centre overlooks a staging area for migrating waterfowl. Being the gateway to the Chilcotin makes Williams Lake the access point to great trails, and lodges, guest ranches, fishing, hiking and river rafting
