Vanderhoof is the geographical center of B.C. Originally, Carrier and Sekani Indians populated the Nechako Valley. Today the peaceful and prosperous community of Vanderhoof consists of approximately 4,300 people serves a surrounding area and its gateway for the interesting historical and outdoor recreation experiences The two main industries are forestry and agriculture, but there is also a great deal of employment provided through government offices.
